QP–PQ: QUANTUM PROBABILITY AND WHITE NOISE ANALYSIS

This volume collects research papers in quantum probability and related fields and reflects the recent developments in quantum probability ranging from the foundations to its applications.

QP-PQ Quantum Bio-Informatics

The purpose of this proceedings volume is to look for interdisciplinary bridges in mathematics, physics, information and life sciences, in particular, research for new paradigms for information and life sciences on the basis of quantum theory. The main areas in this volume are all related to one of the following subjects: (1) mathematical foundation of quantum mechanics, (2) quantum information, (3) quantum algorithm and computation, (4) quantum communication, (5) white noise analysis and quantum dynamics, (6) chaos dynamics and adaptive dynamics, (7) experimental studies of quantum computer, (8) bio-informatics and (9) genome analysis.

Algebraic and Geometric Methods in Statistics

This up-to-date account of algebraic statistics and information geometry explores the emerging connections between the two disciplines, demonstrating how they can be used in design of experiments and how they benefit our understanding of statistical models, in particular, exponential models. This book presents a new way of approaching classical statistical problems and raises scientific questions that would never have been considered without the interaction of these two disciplines. Beginning with a brief introduction to each area, using simple illustrative examples, the book then proceeds with a collection of reviews and some new results written by leading researchers in their respective fields. Part III dwells in both classical and quantum information geometry, containing surveys of key results and new material. Finally, Part IV provides examples of the interplay between algebraic statistics and information geometry. Computer code and proofs are also available online, where key examples are developed in further detail.

  • Chapters written by leading researchers in the field
  • Includes introductory and review chapters, and a glossary of terms from algebraic geometry
  • Online material develops in detail some key examples, and provides computer code, technical material and detailed proofs

QP-PQ Quantum BIo-Informatics IV

The purpose of this proceedings volume is to return to the starting point of bio-informatics and quantum information, fields that are growing rapidly at present, and to seriously attempt mutual interaction between the two, with a view to enumerating and solving the many fundamental problems they entail. For such a purpose, we look for interdisciplinary bridges in mathematics, physics, information and life sciences, in particular, research for new paradigm for information science and life science on the basis of quantum theory.
